you Live with a Ghost? Probably. Let's first talk a little about ghosts -- and later -- I let you know how I may help. There are several types of spirits: the most prominent are The Intelligent Spirit and The Residual Spirit. The Intelligent Spirit is everyone's traditional idea of a ghost. It's a lost personality or spirit that for some reason didn't cross over correctly to the other side at the moment of death. The spirit is stuck in our realm of consciousness. It hangs around - for better or for worse. Some spirits are pleasant -- others are mischievous. The Intellectual Spirit shows intelligence and consciousness, and often interacts with people. Sometimes the spirit manifests as a rush of air, a cold chill, or, a strong "human" presence. Their interactions are detected through sight, sound, physical contact, and smell. Knocking, rapping noises and scratching are frequent manifestations. It's also possible to experience this type of ghost and not even know you did. The Residual Spirit is more common in haunted houses. These types of spirits rarely interact with people and often occupy a specific site, or inhabit a specific item. They are an indentation left behind; they usually mark a traumatic event -- like that in the case of Amittyville. This type of haunting is hard to miss. The haunting is like a video or audiotape playing over and over again. It repeats its actions indefinitely. By opening your mind to ghosts, you are likely to experience one. And in the case of never having experienced a ghost at all, this does not mean they do not exist. Belief has little or nothing to do with it. A spirit appears first to people whom are sensitive enough to see them, and second, to those whom fear them. A spirit usually makes itself less known to people who are less receptive, and to those who are unafraid. By definition, a ghost is a disembodied personality -- or for lack of a better term - a stray mind. There is really no evidence that "the mind" really exists INSIDE the body. They can exist anywhere. The only thing for certain is that the soul exists. The soul can be detected via interactions with other people - and with ghosts. I believe "science" will soon accept paranormal phenomena. Unfortunately, to scientifically "prove" something you must first duplicate it under strict laboratory conditions. Ghosts are more sophisticated then that. They often play games with the scientific community's one-dimensional attempts at sniffing them out. You must first assure a ghost that you mean it no harm, and that you are simply trying to get to know it better. And until science halts its attempts at exploitation & mockery, they'll never find what they're looking for. The Product, So, I ask you again, do you live with a ghost? As a ghost hunter, I rarely arm myself with camera equipment or recorder devices. Using the psychic powers of the mind, I contact a spirit, chat with it, and write down everything I discover. No gadgets, no recorders, no science; just paper, pen, and my own spiritual receptivity. My success rate is around 80%. That is, if a ghost exists, I will detect it 80% of the time. I discover for you the exact nature of a ghost -- his or her name, worldly concerns, and the exact reason for them hanging around. I then construct a commemorative plaque that contains the exact details of the hunt. It is written, signed, dated, and sealed by yours truly, Marcus Goodwin. As far as this business of destroying a ghost -- forget about it. A ghost has every right to reside wherever it pleases, as do you. And if you would like to distance yourself from a spirit, then you might consider moving. But I can tell you, from my experience, if you are good to a ghost, and you agree to coexist with it, a ghost will indeed be good right back to you. It may even become a cherished friend. Acknowledging that a ghosts existence -- and celebrating its presents via a commemorative plaque -- is the best form of peace making.
